Year listed   28 Nov 1984

Detail    Cottage (of lodge type) circa 1820 Tudor style, of red sandstone, random rubble with grey slate roof. Cross-wing left with two-cell wing right; 1½ storeys.

The cross-gable has boldly stop-splayed corners; and one cast-iron lattice casement to each storey, the lower of three lights and the upper of two lights, under labels and with steeply-sloping cills.

In the right wing is a four-panel shaped door in Tudor archway under label.

Projecting stone plinth; coped gables with stone finials; ridge chimney has brick stack on stone plinth. In the right end gable (stop-splayed like the cross-gable) is a damaged three-light cast iron casement to upper storey. Rear part of cottage pebbledashed.

Interior: not inspected.
