Farndon Village History Trail - Riverside Circular Walk - Holt Village Walk

Farndon-Holt Village Walks Leaflet

Following the installation of steps on both sides of the Dee riverbank at the A534 village by-pass it is now possible to complete a circular walk from the Farndon Bridge to the by-pass and back on the opposite bank. Consequently it was decided to compile a combined walks leaflet featuring three walks - Farndon history trail, Holt village history trail, and the circular riverbank walk.

The leaflet was designed by Mike Royden (webmaster of this site), who also researched and wrote the history trail for Farndon. Lewis Royden took the Farndon photographs, including the impressive night shot of the Farndon-Holt Bridge.

Brian Payne compiled the Holt trail, with the map layout by Paul Hinchcliffe, both members of Holt Historical Society.

Glossy leaflets are available free in most local outlets, shops, hotels, garden centres etc.

There are places for refreshment on Farndon High Street, such as The Farndon and the Greyhound. Soft drinks can be purchased at the Newsagent and local butcher/village stores, also on the High Street
